Liana is a 200-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and 500-RYT with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). With the completion of over 1000 teaching hours, she has become a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP). In August 2023, Liana obtained her Masters Degree in Yoga Therapy through Maryland University of Integrative Health. Along with her masters degree, she has obtained her C-IAYT certification which allows her to practice as a Yoga Therapist.
Liana was first introduced to yoga in 2010 during her first semester in college, having registered for a credited yoga class. Soon after starting the course, she fell in love with the Asana practice of yoga and slowly began making yoga a way of life.
Liana believes that yoga is not only a great way to gain strength and flexibility, but to connect the body and mind as well. She believes that the practice of yoga can be adopted by anybody, with any level of experience. Yoga has changed Liana’s life by connecting her mind to her body and helped her to build self-confidence. It is her dream to help guide others on their yoga journeys and she hopes that sharing her practice makes a positive impact in their lives
In 2018, Liana traveled to Anamaya Resort in Montezuma, Costa Rica where she studied to become a certified yoga teacher. This allowed her to begin sharing her passion with others. She plans to build upon her 200 RYT training by traveling, attending workshops, and earning certifications as she strongly believes in being a life-long student.
